The Single Guarantee Committee (CUG) is a body of the University of Pisa.
It promotes:
- equal opportunities for all members of the university community (students and staff), proposing measures to prevent and combat all forms of discrimination, particularly those based on gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnic origin, religion, personal and political beliefs, disability, and age;
- real gender equality by identifying direct and indirect discrimination in education, access to work, working conditions, career progression, and pay, and by proposing actions to remove them;
- positive action plans aimed at preventing discrimination and promoting effective gender equality;
- the dissemination of a culture of equal opportunities, including through gender studies and scientific, educational, and cultural activities;
- actions to foster a work environment based on organizational well-being, preventing any form of moral, physical, or psychological discrimination or violence;
- policies that support work–life balance;
- advisory, consultative, and monitoring functions within its competence.
The CUG is composed of members appointed by the University administration and by the main trade union organizations represented in the University, including both academic and technical-administrative staff.

The Single Guarantee Committee (CUG) is composed of:
- representatives of the University staff
- representatives of trade union organizations
- student representatives
Gender Issues Delegates
Gender delegates act as a link between their respective departments and the CUG, helping to spread awareness of the Committee and its areas of responsibility across the University.
Their role is to:
- collaborate in organizing activities together with the CUG
- maintain a continuous dialogue to identify the needs of different units and, based on this, help tailor interventions and allocate resources accordingly

The Single Guarantee Committee (CUG) of the University of Pisa is a member of the National Conference of University Equality Bodies in Italy. This Conference brings together current representatives of university committees working on equal opportunities, with the aim of building a structured network of cooperation among universities in their areas of competence.
