In recent years, the concept of neurodivergence has gained increasing attention, moving beyond a strictly clinical approach to embrace a more social and inclusive perspective. This seminar, organised in collaboration with the University’s Single Guarantee Committee (CUG), explores the experiences of neurodivergent individuals (including autism, ADHD, dyspraxia, dyslexia, and other neurocognitive differences) within the university context.
It highlights the often invisible challenges they may face—from the accessibility of teaching materials to the management of social interactions and sensory load. At the same time, it examines the unique opportunities that neurodivergence can bring to academia, promoting a more flexible and innovative learning environment.
Through a combination of scientific evidence, personal experiences, and inclusive strategies, the seminar aims to encourage reflection on best practices to make the university more accessible and to value cognitive diversity as a resource.
